Biography

Wai Chin Ng has been an educator for 29 years and taught fifth grade science at the Josiah Quincy Elementary School for 25 years. Currently, Wai Chin is an assistant principal in Boston. As a teacher, Wai Chin engaged his students in inquiry-based activities and innovative projects. He coached a LEGO robotics team and collaborated with community partners such as the National Park Service and Tufts University in bringing valuable resources into his classroom. Wai Chin was also a science Teacher Leader and science education fellow. He has facilitated numerous workshops for educators in areas including curriculum implementation, standardized assessment, and technology integration. He was an active member of the Massachusetts State Assessment Development Committee. As a lifelong learner, he participates in ongoing professional development activities that foster professional growth and education leadership. Wai Chin has a B.A. in psychology and an Ed.M. in elementary education from Boston University as well as an Ed.M. in administrative leadership from Endicott College. He is certified in elementary education, general science, instructional technology, English as a Second Language (ESL), and bilingual education. He is also a National Board Certified Teacher.
