Biography

Marni Landry joined the Grand Canyon University Strategic Education Alliance department in 2018 as the K12 STEM Outreach Manager. In this role, she designs and delivers professional development to in-service teachers nationwide on STEM integration, Project Based Learning, and general teaching pedagogy. Receiving the 2013 PAEMST award created many opportunities for her and also brought her work to the attention of several other organizations. In 2015, she became a U.S. Department of State Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellow and completed a teaching exchange in Morocco. In addition to partnering with a secondary Chemistry teacher, she had the opportunity to present a workshop on Nanotechnology and Pollution at L’Universite’ Internationale d’Agadir. Marni’s additional honors and awards include the Department of Defense eCybermission National All-Star, 2018; Flinn Foundation Distinguished Educator, 2014 and 2018; Arizona Governor's Tech Council Teacher of the Year, 2017; Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) Pre-College Teacher of the Year, 2017; Arizona Bioindustry Association Michael A. Cusanovich Bioscience Educator of the Year, 2016; and National Society of High School Scholars Nobel Top Ten Educator of the Year, 2015.
