I believe in the power of education. I have always believed that every student can be successful, and as a teacher I believe that my responsibility lies in creating a classroom where students can thrive and feel inspired by the power of their mathematical learning and the desire to make this world a better place.
Becoming a Lab Classroom teacher in my district allowed me to open my classroom to teachers and leaders across the district to observe teaching and students' learning mathematics. In this role, I actively contribute to accelerate mathematics achievement of all students in the Hartford Public Schools.
I hope I can serve as a model for teachers, inspiration to my community, and a leader in the improvement of STEM education.
