The Presidential Award is a testament to all my students, who make my job one of the best vocations in the world, and to all of my fellow teachers, who inspire me every single day. It reinforces the ideals of family spirit and academic excellence I strive for in my classroom and it highlights the importance of educational leaders. Finally, it speaks to the love of education I have always harbored in my heart and is a celebration of a career that truly changes the world.
The official biography below was current at the time of the award.
Levi Osborne has spent all 16 years of his teaching career at Billings Central Catholic High School, where he currently teaches Introduction to Computer Science (CS) and Programming, Introduction to Game Development, Advanced Placement CS Java, Business Solutions, and Advanced Business Solutions to students in grades 10-12. At his smaller high school, Levi is the sole teacher in not one, but two, educational departments. Upon his hiring, he developed and implemented two business courses and revamped the CS curriculum with a focus on programming and computational thinking.
