Samantha Stickley, a seasoned seventh grade science teacher at San Marcos Middle School, boasts 16 years of experience in education. She began her teaching career with six years at Robert Louis Stevenson Middle School, followed by three years at Alexander Fleming Middle School, before arriving at San Marcos Middle School where she has been teaching for seven years. In addition to her classroom duties, Samantha serves as the Department Chair and a mentor teacher, fostering collaboration and excellence among her colleagues. Her leadership extends beyond her school, contributing as a teacher leader with the University of California San Diego Science Project, an Exploratorium Teacher Institute leader fellow, and an OpenSciEd facilitator. Samantha strives to create a learning environment where every student can thrive. Her dedication to fair grading practices ensures all students have access to quality education regardless of background. Recognized for her contributions, Samantha has received accolades from local and state educational bodies.
