Fatimah Aboueisha has been an educator for 10 years. She has spent the past two years as Academic Dean at Legacy Middle School. Fatimah previously served as the Science Department Head and a biology teacher at Brandeis High School for three years. Prior to that, she taught chemistry at Memorial High School and Stevens High School. Fatimah’s love for education, and her recognition of the importance of education, led her to move into an academic dean position which enables her to widen her impact on students. Fatimah is currently working as an academic dean at Legacy Middle School, where she works closely with classroom teachers to support student achievement. Fatimah has served as a member of the Texas Education Committee to review questions for the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness Assessment. She has also led district and campus professional development sessions on incorporating technology in the science classroom, as well as methods to teach science to Emergent Bilingual students. Fatimah earned a B.A. in science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and an M.Ed. in educational leadership from Lamar University. Fatimah is certified to teach all sciences for grades 7-12.
