The Presidential Award is a goal to strive for. There is no such thing as a perfect lesson. There is no such thing as a perfect teacher. We all must continue to work and grow; never settling for good enough. To earn the Presidential Award, a teacher must focus on content mastery, effective instructional strategies, effective use of student assessment, self-reflection, and leadership. I am grateful for the Presidential Award because it gave me a roadmap to continue growing as a teacher.
