Lisa Taylor has been an educator for more than 23 years and has spent the last 14 years at Willis D. Shaw Elementary teaching grades third through fifth. She taught third grade at Westwood Elementary School for six years and Huntsville Intermediate for her first three years teaching. She also taught four years at the University of Arkansas as an adjunct instructor in Early Childhood Education. She is a National Board Certified Middle Childhood Generalist. Lisa was awarded the Arkansas Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year. Lisa has a deep love of teaching, learning, and creating integrated STEM lessons. Through blogging and social media, teaching local and national workshops, and creating teaching resources Lisa shares her love of learning and teaching with others. Lisa works to incorporate STEM into her science and literacy curriculum. Students have the opportunity to work and learn through exploration, collaboration, and engaging hands-on activities. Lisa earned a B.A. in education from Arkansas Tech University and an M.Ed. from Harding University. Lisa is currently working on her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on STEM education at the University of Arkansas.
