Rolie Adrienne "Andi" Webb has served as an educator for 22 years. She has spent the past two years as a teacher and instructional coach for all subject areas at Forest Hills Global Elementary in Wilmington, NC. She taught for 19 years in Cumberland County Schools as a kindergarten, first, and second grade teacher, as well as a remediation teacher and instructional coach. Andi served for a year as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow on the United States House of Representatives' Education and Labor Committee. STEM and international education were within her portfolio as a Hill Fellow.
Andi's love for teaching has allowed her to transition from the classroom to Congress and around the world where she has trawled on a fisheries expedition with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Teacher at Sea and crawled through the woods of Canada as an Earthwatch Fellow. She served as a Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program Fellow, is on the Fulbright Specialist Roster, and is Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award for Science and Mathematics Teachers grant recipient.
Andi has a passion for supporting beginning teachers and has a love for international education. She has traveled around the world making friends with other educators in an effort to promote mutual understanding and improve education for all.
Andi is a National Board Certified Teacher, National Geographic Certified Educator, and is pursuing her NC Environmental Educators' Certification as she completes her Ed.D. in educational leadership through East Carolina University. She received her M.Ed. with a science concentration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She double majored in elementary education and English at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
