The mere existence of the Presidential Awards signifies something that does not get enough attention in the popular press: there are amazing math and science teachers in America's schools. These men and women have dedicated their lives to building a better future for all students, and I am highly honored to be among them. This award is not about celebrating what I have already accomplished. It is about celebrating all I have yet to accomplish during my career in education.
