The Presidential Award is such a wonderful honor. It means that 12-hour days are being recognized and that hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I believe that teaching is one of the most important jobs in the world and I am so proud to be part of it. The award reaffirms my belief that doing your best will come back to you in the long run. That standing in the freezing weather to watch a student score his first touchdown is worth it, and reaching beyond the classroom is what makes a great teacher.
