Martha McLeod has been an educator for 18 years, spending the last 9 years as a science lab instructor for fourth and fifth grade students at Fulton Learning Center. For 8 years, she has served as the campus science Subject Area Coordinator while also being a full-time teacher. The gardens and habitats have earned a Certified Wildlife Habitat designation and are included in the community’s annual Hummer/Bird Celebration tour. Two poultry gardens were created, which enable students to sell eggs at the farmer’s market. Martha also established a junior docent program for students at the Harbor Aquarium, and she has launched a campus birding team. Martha has a B.S., cum laude, in animal science from Texas A&M University, and she earned her teaching certification and biology specialization at West Texas State University.
