Ashley Greenway has been an educator for 13 years. This year, she began a position as a third-grade science, mathematics, and social studies teacher at Adairsville Elementary School. Ashley previously taught at Elm Street Elementary School where she spent four years as a prekindergarten teacher and nine as a first-grade teacher. Ashley is an innovative educator and STEM supporter who seeks community partnerships to make meaningful real-world connections for her students. Her dedication to addressing the needs of her students and integrating STEM experiences has led to over 75 grants and numerous national and state recognitions. Ashley believes viewing STEM through an entrepreneurial lens increases critical thinking, collaboration, empathy, and joy in the classroom. Her most noteworthy initiative is Sugar Kids Beauty, an education corporation designed and run by students. Sharing her passion for learning, Ashley has presented sessions on best practices in STEM, family engagement, and grant writing. Her unique way to integrate content in and outside her classroom has been documented through micro documentaries, articles, and published lesson plans. Ashley earned a B.S. in early childhood education from Auburn University and a M.S. in learning and teaching from Nova Southeastern University. She is certified in elementary education.
