Michelle Howe has been a teacher for the past twelve years at Lodi Middle School. She currently teaches sixth grade science. Michelle previously taught at Janesville Craig High School for one year. Michelle has implemented a blended agriculture class in which students participate in agriculture and the Future Farmers of America. She previously taught agriculture for six years. Professionally, Michelle is involved with the Wisconsin Society of Science Teachers and the Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators. Michelle is involved in her school district as a sixth-grade team leader, District Science Department chair, and STEM Fair chair. To improve learning and bring real-world applications to her students, Michelle has participated in the Wisconsin Forward Exam review, American Wilderness Leadership School, Great Lakes Shipboard Science Research, a Thailand exchange, Citizen Science-WI, and the Department of Natural Resource’s (DNR) Snapshot Wisconsin. She is a Wisconsin DNR Certified Instructor and National Board Certification 2019 candidate. Michelle holds her B.S. in agricultural education from the University of Wisconsin Platteville and her M.S. in agricultural education and biology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She also earned her English as a second language, environmental studies, and English language arts teaching licenses.
