Ines Muniz has been teaching for over 28 years, spending 21 of them at the Baldwin School of Puerto Rico. Currently, she teaches 11th and 12th-grade International Baccalaureate Higher Level Biology and ninth-grade Standard Level Biology. Previously, she taught at Rosa-Bell School of Guaynabo. In the classroom, Ines motivates and encourages her students through hands-on activities, inquiry, and differentiated discussions and experiments. She is the moderator of the science club and has coached the Middle and Upper School science bowl teams since 2009. Her students have been winners of the local science bowls five times, and she has been able to travel to Washington, D.C. to accompany her teams to participate in the National Science Bowl. Ines served as the Science Subject Area Leader and, during her tenure, mentored new science teachers and participated actively in the implementation of the International Baccalaureate science curriculum. Ines earned a B.S. in biology from the University of Puerto Rico and a M.S. in microbiology from the University of Maine. She is a certified International Baccalaureate Science Teacher.
