Being chosen to receive the Presidential Award affirms for me that I am offering my students the highest quality mathematics instruction. I strive on a daily basis to challenge my students to think for themselves and stretch themselves in new directions, all while investigating and experiencing the beauty and rigor of mathematics. I truly believe that I have the most rewarding job in the world--spending every day with our youth--and this award is a celebration of my passion for teaching.
