Pat Boehmer has been an educator for 37 years and has spent the last 32 years at Carrington High School teaching Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Anatomy, Advanced Placement Biology, and Applied Biology Chemistry to grades 10-12. He also taught for five years at Mohall Public Schools teaching life science, earth science, biology, psychology, and sociology. Pat is passionate about providing the best educational experience possible for the students of Carrington Public Schools. In order to provide his students with meaningful learning experiences, Pat has written or cowritten several grants to help ensure that students taking science classes have access to the latest equipment. The genetics curriculum, the living classroom project, new digital microscopes, LEGO robotics, and numerous other projects have been funded by these grants. Pat has also presented numerous sessions on genetics labs and materials at conferences within the state. He has allowed many teachers an opportunity to test equipment and labs to enable them to make the best decisions for their districts. Pat earned a B.A. in mathematics and science with a biology emphasis from the University of Mary, Bismarck, North Dakota, and a B.S.Ed. in high school science from the University of Mary. He is certified in middle and high school science.
