Kelly Green has been teaching for 13 years and has worked with special education students for 11 years. She is a seventh grade science teacher at Alfred G. Waters Middle School in the Appoquinimink School District. Kelly is the coach for her school’s Science Olympiad team, which has placed in the top 10 in the State for the last 3 years. She also enjoys her annual seventh grade camping trip, which is used as a culminating activity. Students participate in activities such as team building and environmental awareness. Kelly serves as Department Chair and Team Leader, and she mentors new science teachers. She works with the University of Delaware as a cooperating teacher in their co-teaching preparation program. Kelly is also an education professor at Wilmington University. Kelly has received several grants, most recently working on a Teacher Quality Enhancement grant with the University of Delaware to evaluate curriculums and make accommodations for students with special needs. She has been a presenter at local and national conferences and has given professional development presentations to her colleagues at the university level. Kelly has a B.S. in Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Administration, and she has recently begun her doctorate, all from Wilmington University.
