Serving as the 2018-2019 President for the National Science Teaching Association.
I have often worked to amplify STEM literacy by integrating diverse learning strategies, including instructional technology and children’s literature, to make complex scientific ideas more accessible and relevant for all students. By guiding future and current educators through programs such as the Master of Arts in Teaching for STEM and leading STEM-focused certificate programs, I will work to ensure that our nation’s students are taught by teachers equipped for 21st-century challenges.
